How to Match the Indicators a Donor Asks For
Link each donor requirement to your own indicator.
A donor template lists the indicators it wants reported. Matching each one to your own indicator means the report says where each figure comes from, and it tells you early what is still missing.
Open the panel
- Go to Projects → your project → Templates and open the donor template.
- Scroll to Indicators the donor asks for. Each row is one requirement from the template.
What the statuses mean
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Matched | The donor's text names your indicator's code, or you confirmed it | Nothing |
| Please confirm | The wording is close to one of your indicators | Select Confirm this match, or choose another indicator |
| No match yet | Nothing in your project fits | Choose an indicator, or select Will not be reported |
| Will not be reported | You decided the project will not report it | Select Undo if you change your mind |
Match an indicator
Choose an indicator from the list beside the requirement. It becomes Matched and is marked as confirmed by you.
Say a requirement will not be reported
Select Will not be reported. Export checks will no longer warn about it. Use this only when the donor has agreed that the project will not report that indicator.
Good to know
- Matching does not change your indicators or your values.
- Nothing is matched by guessing between two equally close indicators. You choose.
- Before you export a report, DonorDesk warns you about requirements that are still open. The warning does not stop the export.
