How to Connect Google Drive

Link Google Drive as primary storage.

Connecting Google Drive is the first step of workspace setup. Your evidence stays in your Google Drive; DonorDesk stores links and access, not copies.

Connect

  1. Go to Settings → Setup (or the onboarding checklist) and open Connect Google Drive ("Choose where your evidence lives").
  2. Click Connect Google Drive and sign in with the Google account that owns the files. Approve the permissions.
  3. You return to DonorDesk with a Google Drive connected message.

The onboarding checklist marks the step complete once Drive is connected.

What DonorDesk creates

For each project DonorDesk builds a project folder tree in the background (Evidence and related folders). Watch its status on the project's Setup page ("Project workspace folder"). If it says provisioning failed, click Retry workspace on that page; Repair workspace rebuilds a folder tree that is missing pieces.

Other options

If you do not use Google Drive, you can choose DonorDesk storage instead. Those files count toward your plan's storage limit. See Storage and file management.

Reconnect or change

Use Reconnect in the same screen if access expires or you change accounts.

Sign in with Google

Google sign-in on the login page is separate from connecting Drive. You can use either or both.

See Troubleshooting storage issues.
