How to Approve and Publish an Infographic
Publish an immutable export as PNG, PDF or SVG.
A design moves through three states: Draft, In review and Approved. Publishing creates files you can download. Each file is fixed once it is made; changing the design later makes a new file, and the old one stays as it was.
Ask for a review
- Open the design and go to the Publish panel.
- Click Ask for a review. Add a note for the reviewer if you want to.
The design is now In review. You can still read it, but you cannot change it until it is returned to draft.
Approve or send back
A reviewer opens the design and chooses Approve, or Send back to draft with a reason. You cannot approve a design you asked to have reviewed when another approver exists; a different person must approve it.
Publish
- In the Publish panel, choose the file type: PNG (you can choose the sharpness), PDF, SVG, PowerPoint or a pack (PNG sizes, a PDF, alt text, a caption and the sources).
- Click Publish. If the design check has something to fix, publishing is blocked and the panel says where to look. If the design is not yet approved, publishing asks you to get approval first.
Published files are listed under Published files. Download any of them there.
What you need
Publishing needs the export permission. Approving needs the approver permission. Ask your project manager if a button is missing: the button is hidden, not disabled, for roles that cannot use it.
Next: share it with a link.
