How to Invite an Outside Partner

Give a partner access to named projects only.

An outside partner is someone from another organisation who works on one or more of your projects, for example an implementing partner that reports activities. They see only the projects you choose.

Only an Admin or a Project Manager can invite people.

Invite a partner

  1. Open Team and select Invite member.
  2. Type the partner's work email.
  3. Tick Outside partner.
  4. Choose the role: Field officer (they report activities and enter indicator values) or Viewer (they only read).
  5. Tick every project they should see. You must choose at least one.
  6. Select Send invite and share the link shown.

What the partner can see

  • The projects you chose, and their logframe, activities and reporting periods.
  • Evidence and files that belong to those projects.
  • The screens they need to report: adding activities, uploading evidence and entering indicator values.

They cannot see your other projects, the team list, billing, the audit trail, exports, funding, or report approvals. A page outside their access says "This page is not part of your account."

Remove access

On the Team page, change the person's role or remove them. Their access ends at their next page load.

Limits

  • A partner's screens are the same as everyone else's; a shorter menu for partners is not available yet.
  • Partners are not set to expire automatically.
  • Two-step sign-in is not available to outside partners yet. Protect the partner's password and remove their access when the work ends.
