How to Make and Share a Dashboard

Pin charts to a dashboard, arrange them and share by link or embed.

A dashboard is a page of charts from the Data Center. It keeps which charts you chose and where they sit. It does not keep the figures: each chart is drawn from the project's recorded values when you open the dashboard.

Make one

  1. Choose Dashboards in the left menu, then give it a name and choose who sees it: Only me, The whole organisation, or One project. Shared dashboards need someone who manages projects.
  2. Choose Create.

Add a chart

  1. Open a project's Data tab and build a chart in the chart builder (the Charts tab).
  2. Under Add to a dashboard, choose a dashboard and choose Add the chart. The chart is added below the others.

Arrange

Choose Edit. Drag a chart by its title bar, or resize it from its bottom-right corner. You can also focus the title bar and use the arrow keys to move a chart, and Shift with an arrow key to resize it. Charts move out of the way for each other and never overlap. Choose Save to keep the layout, or Cancel to drop it.

If someone else saved the dashboard while you were editing, your save is refused and nothing is merged. Reload the page and make your changes again.

Share a read-only link

  1. Open the dashboard and choose Make a link under Share a read-only link.
  2. Write who the link is for and how many days it should work (1 to 180).
  3. Copy the link or the embed code. They are shown once.

Anyone with the link sees the charts as they stand whenever they open it, without signing in. Finance figures are never shown through a link. Withdraw stops a link at once.
