What is DonorDesk?

DonorDesk is a web platform that helps NGOs, UN implementing partners and other grant-funded organisations prepare donor reports faster, with evidence they can defend.
The problem
Donor reporting is usually spread across spreadsheets, Word files, WhatsApp threads, Drive folders and Kobo/ODK exports. Reports take weeks, numbers are hard to trace to evidence, and compliance gaps are found too late.
What DonorDesk does
- Understands your donor's template. Upload the donor's format; DonorDesk extracts the report outline, instructions, required tables and limits, and you review and approve them.
- Holds your results framework. Logframe, indicators, baselines, targets and per-period values with a verification workflow.
- Collects evidence. Files stay in your own Google Drive (or DonorDesk storage), get AI tag suggestions, and are linked to activities and indicators.
- Captures field activities with participants and narrative.
- Drafts the report. The AI Reporter writes each section following the donor template. Tables, charts and comparisons are built from verified data, and every number is checked.
- Lets you edit like a document, with flagged statements, sources, comments and version history.
- Checks compliance continuously and gates approval and export.
- Exports Word, PDF, Excel and evidence packs, including donor-native rendering and watermarked internal copies.
- Remembers your team's writing style (optional AI Writing Style), never facts or numbers.
